Attended Campbell County High School where he competed for the cross country and track and field teams... ran a personal best 5K of 16:24... was an All-Conference runner in 2018 and 2021, also named to All-State in 2021... The son of Anna Gillespie and Travis Hurm... his mother, Anna, ran in cross country and track for Dana College.
