Scott Foley is in his second season as the graduate assistant for the cross country teams while serving as an assistant coach for track & field.
Foley ran competitively at Boise State University from 2007 to 2012 where he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors for four-consecutive years. A member of four WAC championship teams, Foley was also an NCAA Division I National Qualifier in the 10,000-meter run in 2012.
Following graduate with his degree in physical education, Foley was named head coach of the cross country and track & field programs at Cheyenne South High School where he coached the school's first-ever state champion. In all, he coaches three state champions, five all-state performances, three conference champions with 14 indoor and outdoor track & field records broken during a two-year span.
The Cheyenne, Wyoming, native also guided South High School to the highest finishes in school history in all three sports, cross country, indoor and outdoor track & field.
During his prep career at Cheyenne Central High School, Foley was a six-time All-State honoree between cross country and track & field and was a member of four state championship squads.
Foley is currently enrolled in the Master of Science for Strategic Leadership at Black Hills State.
