Kellan Anderson

Kellan Anderson, with Monument Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, is the Athletic Performance Director for Black Hills State University. Anderson works with men's and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s track & field and women’s triathlon. As an employee for Monument Health, Anderson trains multiple adult strength and conditioning groups at BHSU in addition to his athletic teams.

Before joining the BHSU team, Anderson was the Regional Elite Performance (REP) Coordinator for Monument Health where he was in charge of creating and implementing a program that would provide year-round strength and conditioning to athletes all across the Black Hills. During his six-years in this position, Anderson created a contract with Spearfish High School for year-round strength and conditioning, as well as oversaw all summer sports performance programs across the Northern Hills area, and into Wyoming.

Anderson is a graduate of BHSU with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. He played football for BHSU from 2008-2012. He is married to Darbi, a registered nurse at Monument Health who is a former BHSU volleyball player, and they have two daughters.
