Black Hills State University Athletics

Katie has a long history at Black Hills State and with the Triathlon Team. At the conclusion of four-years competing on the Tri team from 2015-2018 Katie graduated from BHSU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Outdoor Education and went on to spend time working in many diverse locations, including: Terry Peak Ski Area, the Tamarck Bike Patrol, San Juan Outfitters and Sequioa Parks Conservancy.

Christy to BHSU in 2021 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership and started a new role with the team, this time as it’s Graduate Assistant Coach. She obtained her Master’s Degree this past Summer and accepted a job with Strider Bikes out of Rapid City, SD.

Katie is still involved with the Triathlon team as a Volunteer Coach this year, focusing on cycling training and coaching.
