Black Hills State University Athletics

Baylee Johnson joined the Black Hills State sports medicine team as an athletic trainer in January 2024.

Johnson, a BHSU alum, returns to her alma mater after working at fellow Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) institution at Colorado Mesa University since August 2023, working primarly with the Maverick football team.

She earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training degree from Old Dominion University (Norfolk, Va.) where she worked on the campuses of Virginia Wesleyan University and Christopher Newport University as a student athletic trainer.
