Jackson Kiburis

Jackson Kiburis joined the Yellow Jacket coaching staff in August, 2024. Prior to BHSU, Kiburis served as a student assistant coach at Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph, MO under head coach, Will Martin from 2022 to 2024. During his time with the Griffons, they went 31-29 and qualified for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) conference tournament in back-to-back seasons. Kiburis helped develop Taye Fields who was named All-MIAA and went on to play professionally in Austria.

Kiburis spent two seasons as an assistant coach for his father, Scott Kiburis, at his alma mater, Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School in Reinbeck, Iowa from 2020 to 2022. During that time, the Rebels went 40-6 and won the regular season conference championship and district tournament championship in consecutive seasons.

As an athlete, Kiburis won two conference championships and led his Gladbrook-Reinbeck team to a state championship appearance in 2017.

Kiburis received his bachelor’s degree in recreation sports management in 2024 from Missouri Western State University and is currently working on his master’s degree in leadership from BHSU.
