Nate Brown

Nate Brown joined the BHSU Men’s Basketball staff in August, 2025 after spending three seasons as an assistant coach for the BHSU Women’s Basketball program under Mark Nore. Brown helped the Yellow Jacket’s women’s team to a 58-29 (.667) overall record and 44-20 (.688) RMAC record. In 2022, BHSU qualified for the NCAA DII National Tournament and defeated Regis University in the first round.

The Canberra, Australia native played collegiately at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas from 2018 to 2021. Brown received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Bethany College in 2021, and received his master’s of business administration from BHSU in 2024. He is married to Katy Brown.

Nate’s father, Phil Brown, had an impressive career as a women’s basketball coach. Phil served as the head coach of the Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Junior team that won the World Championship in 1993. He served as the lead assistant coach on the Australian National Team that competed in London for the 2012 Olympics. Phil also spent four seasons as the Associate Head Coach for the University of Oregon.
