Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men's basketball team rolled past Dickinson State 80-55 to improve to 17-3 (6-0 DAC) on the season Friday evening at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish.
"Dickinson is a very good team," said head coach Bradd Schafer. "We had a great all around effort. Our focus all week was defense and we executed well. We shot the ball well but we also went inside a lot, too."
The Yellow Jackets had four players score double digit figures led by senior Will John Johnson who finished the contest with 23 points and 11 rebounds recording his 12th double-double of the season. Senior Clay Pottorff finished with 18 points and seniors Cain Atkinson and Travis Haney each chipped in 13 points in the winning effort.
Black Hills State will return to action Saturday, January 22 as they square off against Minot State. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT and can be heard live locally on 980 AM KDSJ.
