Spearfish, S.D. – The No. 6 Black Hills State University men's basketball team defeated Jamestown 81-70 to remain undefeated in Dakota Athletic Conference.

"Tonight we did a great job taking care of the ball," said head coach Bradd Schafer.  "We finished the contest with five turnovers.  It was a total team effort.  I can't say enough about Will John (Johnson) scoring 1,000 points and getting 1,000 rebounds in his career and how hard Clay (Pottorff) has worked to score 1,000 points in his career.  I'm very proud of our entire team."

The Yellow Jackets had five players score in double figures on the evening.  Senior Luke Enos led the Yellow Jackets and netted 19 points.  Seniors Cain Atkinson, Clay Pottorff and Will John Johnson finished with 14, 13 and 12, respectively.  Sophomore Craig Von Allman added 11 points off of the bench in the Yellow Jackets victory.

Coming into the contest senior Will John Johnson needed three rebounds to reach 1,000 in his career making him the first player in Black Hills State history to reach 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.  Also, fellow Senior Clay Pottorff notched his 1,000th career point in the match-up against Jamestown

Black Hills State will return to action Friday, January 14 when the team will travel to Mayville, N.D. to take on Mayville State.  Tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT and the broadcast can be heard live locally on KDSJ 980 AM.
