Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team fell to the University of Sioux Falls 20-44 Saturday in Sioux Falls. The Yellow Jackets were plagued by two interceptions thrown by sophomore quarterback Wes Kragt.
Black Hills State came out to a slow start, trailing the Cougars 13-0 at the end of the first quarter. The lead was stretched to 6-37 in favor of USF until Wes Kragt connected on a touchdown pass to senior wide-out Ryan Fagerstrom.
The Yellow Jackets were led by offensively by Kragt who tallied 71 yards on the ground and 194 yards passing. Sophomore running back Bryar DeSanti carried the ball nine times for 45 yards. Fagerstrom finished the game with seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown, followed closely by junior wide receiver Daniel Hancock who finished the contest with 71 yards on 4 receptions.
Black Hills State will return to action Thursday, October 27 as they travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to take on The University of Central Oklahoma, kick-off is set for 5 p.m. MT.
