Point Lookout, MO. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team earned their first win of the season this afternoon in Point Lookout, MO. as they defeated John Brown 56-49 to advance to 1-1 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets shot 44% from the field and pulled down 29 rebounds. Black Hills State played a great defensive game holding John Brown to 33% from the field. The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Kristi Ryan who finished the contest with 27 points and four rebounds. Ryan made six 3 point shots in the contest.
Black Hills State will return to action Friday, November 18 as they host Northern State at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish, tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
