Black Hills State University Men's Basketball Falls in the Opening Game of the S.D. Mines & Technology Classic

Rapid City, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men's basketball team fell to the Great Falls Argos by a score of 77-61 to fall to 1-3 on the season in the opening day of the S.D. Mines & Technology Classic at Goodell Gym in Rapid City, S.D.

The Yellow Jackets struggled against a stout Argo defense only shooting 33% from both the field and behind the arc. Black Hills State struggled from the charity stripe only making 39% of the shots from the free throw line. The Yellow Jackets forced 17 Great Falls turnovers while only committing 11 turnovers but the Yellow Jacket defense couldn't overcome strong shooting by Great Falls who made 53% of their shots from behind the arc.

Black Hills State was led by senior Rob Johnson who led all scoring with 16 points and pulled in seven rebounds. Johnson was one of three Yellow Jackets to score double digit points followed closely by freshman Brady Bisgaard and junior Tommy Early who added 12 and 10 respectively.

The Yellow Jacket men will close out their tournament games tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. MT as they take on Dordt College at the Goodell Gymnasium in Rapid City, S.D.
