Rapid City, S.D. – The Black Hills State University Men's Basketball team fell to Dordt College in the second day of the S.D. Mines and Technology Classic in Rapid City, S.D. by a score of 86-74 to fall to 1-4 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets trailed Dordt by three points going into intermission but could not overcome a strong second half shooting performancel by Dordt. The Yellow Jackets had a much better day shooting the ball, making 53% from the floor, 44% from behind the arc and 71% from the floor but could not overcome Dordt's high powered offense.
Black Hills State had four student athletes score double digit points led once again by lone senior Rob Johnson who finished the game with 17 points and three rebounds. Junior Tommy Earl had a good game adding 14 points while shooting 66% from the floor and from behind the arc. Freshmen Brody Brisk and Joey Mitchell scored 12 points and 10 points respectively.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action Friday. December 2 as they host Dicksinson State at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish, tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MT.
