Billings, Mont. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team fell to Rocky Mountain College by a score of 55-42 to fall to 3-6 on the season. The Yellow Jackets were plagued by poor shooting as they only made 28% of their shots from the floor.
Black Hills State was led by freshman Dakota Barrie who scored 14 points and pulled down two rebounds. Sophomore Jordan Kent added seven points for the Yellow Jackets and hauled in six rebounds. Freshman Chelsey Beigler scored two points and pulled in seven defensive rebounds.
The Yellow Jackets struggled offensively as they shot 28% from the floor, 24% from behind the arc and 75% from the charity stripe. Black Hills State only made four three-point shots and turned the ball over 26 times.
Black Hills State will return to action Thursday, December 15 as they host Rocky Mountain College at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish, S.D. tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. MT.
