Greeley, Colo. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team fell to NCAA Division I University of Northern Colorado by a score of 72-35 Thursday evening in Greeley, Colo. to fall to 3-8 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets struggled to get any offense going, they shot just 22% from the floor, 28% from behind the arc, and 67% from the charity stripe and turned the ball over 20 times. Black Hills State was led by freshman McKenna Haist who finished with nine points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist. Fellow freshman Cassidy Kotelman added six points.
Black Hills State will return to action Friday, January 13 as they travel to Dickinson, N.D. to face former Dakota Athletic Conference foe, Dickinson State. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. MT and can be heard locally on 980 AM KDSJ and worldwide at KDSJ980.com.
