Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University Men's Basketball team was defeated by Montana Tech by a final score of 51-53 at the Donald E. Young Center in Spearfish Thursday evening. The Yellow Jackets made a late run but were unable to sink the buzzer beater to win the game.
The Yellow Jackets trailed the Orediggers throughout most of the game, but were able to tie the ball game late in the second half with some impressive shooting from senior forward Rob Johnson. The shot was just off the mark and the Yellow Jackets were unable to seal the deal as they lost by two points.
