Dickinson, N.D. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team defeated Dickinson State 61-55 on Saturday night in Dickinson, N.D.

The Yellow Jackets were propelled to victory with career highs from Breanna Janovy.  Janovy tallied her first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Katelynn Lamb was the only other Yellow Jacket to score in double figures with 15 points.

Black Hills State had 42 rebounds and Dickinson State had 21 on the evening.  The Yellow Jackets grabbed 16 offensive boards that led to 18 second chance points.

The women's basketball team locked up the No. 1 seed in the Dakota Athletic Conference tournament with the victory.  Black Hills State is now 21-6 overall and 11-3 in conference play.  The Yellow Jackets will host the first round of the DAC tournament on Wednesday, February 23.  Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. MT.  Tickets are available in advance at the Young Center in Spearfish or can be purchased at the gate.
