Tucson, Ariz. – The Black Hills State University softball team split two games on the final day of the Tucson Invitational.
The Yellow Jackets defeated Judson 5-4 in the first game of the day. Katie Wagner earned the victory. Wagner posted six strikeouts in the victory. Meagan Bell had a two-run homerun in the first inning. Aleishia Giesey had a one-run double and Ashley Berg added two singles and two RBIs.
Black Hills State fell 16-3 to Aquinas in the second game. Berg went 3-for-4 in the game and Alyssa Graziano was 2-for-3 with a double. Lenaya Vigil had a triple. Alex Huntington took the loss for the Yellow Jackets in the circle.
Next up for the Yellow Jackets is Western Nebraska Community College. Black Hills State will travel to Scottsbluff, Neb. for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. MT on Thursday, March 17.
