LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released their 2025-26 Easton Top 10 GPAs and their Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for each division and overall on Wednesday afternoon. Among the top ten was Black Hills State, who's team GPA of 3.758 for the 2025-26 school year, which put BHSU at #4 in the GPA rankings for Division II. They are the only RMAC school to make the top 10 and only sit behind Lincoln Memorial, Missouri Southern State, and Mansfield. It is only BHSU's second time making the top 20, with BHSU finishing 16^th last year.

Along with that BHSU had 16 athletes named All-America Scholar Athletes. The honorees are Skylar Bedlan, Audrey Fouras, Kaitlyn Geschwill, Paige Goodell, Desi Hernandez, Sophia Honse, Katelyn Jarzobski, Sammie Kaufman-Warner, Carli Maley, Caylee Mann, Jessica Melendez. Gracie Oswald, Dakota Poag, Carly Reyes Mims, Brooklyn Theiler, and Alyssa Wong.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26. NCAA Division III followed with 2,493 and NCAA Division II with 1,869. Junior colleges and NAIA came in with 1,190 and 655 student-athletes respectively. Seven student-athletes from Bay Path University earned recognition in the Other Four-Year category.

Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by member head coaches. High School team GPA winners and scholar-athletes will be announced on Sept. 9.
