Five Yellow Jackets Named CSC Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.-The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2026 Academic All-District® recipients for the sport of softball on Tuesday morning, recognizing the student-athletes' success on the field and in the classroom. Among the recipients were five BHSU Yellow Jackets: Audrey Fouras, Paige Goodell, Carly Reyes Mims, Kaitlyn Geschwill, and Caylee Mann. Fouras earned her second Academic All-District honors while the other four are receiving the award for the first time.

Audrey Fouras is now a two-time CSC Academic All-District® player. She also earned First Team Academic All-RMAC. She was named to the Honor Roll last year and moved up this year with a 3.99 GPA and majoring in Business Administration. Fouras had a fantastic senior season this year for BHSU playing in 49 games and starting all of them. The majority of those at second base where she hit .210 with a .801 OPS,a .401 slugging percentage, and a .400 on-base percentage. She had 22 hits, eight doubles, four home runs, 23 RBIs, 30 runs scored, and 26 walks. Fouras ended the year with a hit in each game of her final series versus Mesa. She also had a crucial walk-off double against MSU Denver earlier this year that helped BHSU beat MSUD in a series for the first time in program history.
 
Paige Goodell earns her first CSC Academic award in her sophomore season as she finished with a 3.98 GPA while majoring in Exercise Science. Goodell was a top pitcher for BHSU this season as she pitched in 21 games and made 12 starts. Goodell had a 6.61 ERA in 71 innings finishing with a  3-5 record while striking out 32 batters. Her best game of her career came versus Chadron when she completed her only game this year going five innings, only allowing three hits, one earned run, and striking out three. She had another great game later this season against UCCS where she pitched 5.1 innings. She only gave up four hits and one earned run while helping BHSU get the win.

Carly Reyes Mims finished the year with a 3.83 cumulative GPA and earned first CSC academic award after being named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll. Sher second straight All-RMAC Honorable Mention after earning that honor last season. Reyes Mims had an exceptional season for the Green and Gold, hitting .341 with an insane OPS of .991 with a .529 slugging percentage and a .462 on-base percentage. She had 58 hits and 44 runs in 53 games with 27 walks, 28 RBIs, six home runs, two triples, and ten doubles. She is third in the conference in hit by pitches (10). She has a hit in 40 out of 53 games and has made it on base in 46 out of 53. She had one of the the best weekend of her career against Highlands by going 6-for-14 (.429) with six RBIs, five runs, two doubles, a triple, and two home runs with a 1.143 OPS slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage. She had two walk-offs in games one and two, including a two-run walk-off home run in game one. She had another huge weekend in Chadron with a 2.286 OPS, a .625 batting average, a 1.500 slugging percentage, and a .786 OPS with five hits, one double, two home runs, four RBIs, and five walks. Against MSUD, she had a .750 on-base percentage with six runs scored. She went 7-for-16 with four RBIs, a three-run home runs, a double, and three runs scored versus the Mountain Lions.

Kaitlyn Geschwill, a newcomer for the Yellow Jackets, earns her first CSC Academic All-District® honor after putting up a cumulative 3.79 GPA. She made a big impact from the jump this season for BHSU and earned All-RMAC Honorable Mention. The junior transfer from Central Lakes College had a 4.61 ERA in 147.1 innings and appeared in 34 games this season. She had 142 strikeouts, ranked first in the RMAC and second in BHSU program history, compared to only 91 earned runs and sits second in team history in single season wins with 14 compared to 11 losses. She is only the ninth pitcher in BHSU history to reach 100 strikeouts in a season. She only allowed 49 extra base hits. Besides strikeouts, she led the conference in strikeouts per seven innings (6.7), was third in pitching appearances (34), and is third in innings pitched (147.1). The Pequot Lakes, Minnesota native had a huge weekend out of the bullpen for BHSU in her RMAC POTW weekend in the first weekend of her BHSU career in the Minot State bubble. She pitched in five of the six games, threw 15 innings with a 2-1 record, only allowing two earned runs and seven hits on a .93 ERA and 22 strikeouts. She had her first complete game shutout in game four versus Adams. She had an incredible weekend versus the Skyhawks pitching two complete games, going 2-0 with only three earned runs to a 1.50 ERA and striking out 17 including a career-high 12 strikeouts in game three.

Caylee Mann was the top player for BHSU early and was another transfer who made an immediate impact. She now earns her first CSC Academic All-District® honor after having a cumulative 3.75 GPA. She had a .290 batting average with an .834 OPS, a .463 slugging percentage, and had 34 RBIs with 17 runs scored, 13 doubles and five home runs. She had an RBI in five of the six games in the Bubble and she had two games with three RBIs while having three hits in both of those games. She had a massive weekend versus Highlands, where she went 7-for-13 (.538), with four doubles, two RBIs, and an .846 slugging percentage. Against Chadron, she hit .300 with four runs, two doubles, an RBI, and three walks. Mann had a massive Grand Slam versus MSUD in game four to help BHSU come back and win and finished with seven RBIs in the series. She was one of the few with a great series versus CSM, where she had a hit in all four games, an RBI in each of the last three games, and a double in game four.

School's athletic communication staffs are allowed to nominate up to five student-athletes for a spot on the CSC Academic All-District® list. To be eligible individuals must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their academic career and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
