Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team was defeated by the University of Sioux Falls Saturday night in Sioux Falls by a score of 70-39 to fall to 5-10 on the season.
The Yellow Jackets trailed the Cougars by a score of 32-22 at halftime before the Sioux Falls offense took over in the second half outscoring Black Hills State 38-17 in the final frame, giving the Cougars the 70-39 win. The Yellow Jacket offense struggled, shooting only 22% from the floor and 33% from behind the three point line.
Black Hills State was led in scoring by sophomore Jordan Kent who finished the game with nine points. Freshman Cassidy Kotelman finished with eight points, senior Kristi Ryan and freshmen Bailey Kusser and Dakota Barrie each added six points.
