Black Hills State University Men's Basketball Defeated by the University of Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men's basketball team was defeated by the University of Sioux Falls Saturday night in Sioux Falls by a score of 66-44, to fall to 4-11 on the season, behind a solid Sioux Falls defensive effort.

The Yellow Jackets trailed the Cougars by a score of 29-19 at halftime before Sioux Falls offense took over in the second half scoring 37 points.

Black Hills State was led in scoring by senior Rob Johnson who finished the game with 13 points, six rebounds and one assist. Junior Tommy Earl finished the game with eight points, and freshman Joey Mitchell had an impressive second half as he went on to finish the contest with seven points.  

Black Hills State will return to action as they travel to Rapid City, S.D. as they square off against the S.D. School of Mines and Technology on Tuesday January 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MT and the game can be heard locally on 980 AM KDSJ and worldwide at 980kdsj.com.
