Box Score Pueblo, Colo. – The Black Hills State University softball team came up short as they fell to Adams State by a score of 1-9 in their final game of the RMAC/NSIC Crossover Tournament. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fell to 0-5 on the season.
Black Hills State had four hits in the ball game, but only able to score one run, and committed two errors. Junior Alex Huntington pitched all five innings for the Yellow Jackets and gave up nine runs on 12 hits; Huntington will get credited with the loss.
The Yellow Jackets offense was led by junior Meagan Halverson who had two hits and scored one run and only saw two at bats, Halverson also had one RBI. Junior Kyley Barela and freshman Cassie Smith each recorded a hit in the game.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Durango, Colo. as they square off in a double-header against Fort Lewis College. The games are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. MT.
