Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State women's basketball team blew out the Adams State Grizzlies 61-38 on Friday night at the Donald E. Young Center.
The Yellow Jackets got off to a hot start, connecting on 12 of 23 shots for 52.2%, including three of five from behind the arc in the first period of play. Bailey Kusser added seven, and freshman Calby Pearman score five points off the bench to add to the Jackets' 33-20 lead going into halftime.
"We did a really nice job offensively getting the ball inside and outside in the first half," said head coach Mark Nore. "We had great energy from the start."
The second half was more of the same for the Jackets. Black Hills State went on a 7-0 run during the first three minutes of play and never looked back. "I thought we guarded well for two halves tonight," said Nore. "I was proud of how hard we played as a team."
