SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team moved to 3-2 in conference action, 4-4 overall, with a four point win over Metro State (2-6, 1-3 RMAC). A well-rounded team effort propelled the Lady Jackets to a 71-68 victory following a tied ball game at halftime. Chelsey Biegler led all scorers with 18 points, followed by Cassidy Kotelman with 13 points and seven rebounds. Courtney Patterson contributed to a second half surge with 11 points, shooting 75 percent from the field. Calli Bechtel finished with 10 points and four boards to round out the top scorers.
Amy Nelson of Metro State led her team with 14 points and 7 boards, followed by Fawn Brady with 11 points and eight rebounds. Guard Cassie Lambrecht and Jenae Paine each scored 10 points.
The Lady Jackets return to home action tomorrow against Regis University. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
