Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado State-Pueblo men's
basketball team prevailed Friday night as their high scoring
offense took off for an 84-46 win. Pueblo had three players
who scored 13 points or more including Arden Dennis with 20 points
and four three-pointers, Ryan Arel with 14 points and four more
three-pointers, along with Wendell Lee, who tallied 13 points on
the night.
BHSU's leading scorer on the night was junior guard,
Tanner Adler, who finished with 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting and
was the Yellow Jackets only player who scored in double
figures.
Cam Anderson had a balanced night with six points and eight
rebounds while sophomore Brady Bisgaard ended the night shooting
50-percent from the field on 4-of-8 shooting with nine points and
three assists. The Yellow Jacket bench did provide a combined
15 points, but Pueblo's hot shooting night that included 13
made three-point shots was too much to overcome.
For the game, Pueblo shot 47 percent from the field on 26-of-62
shooting, while going 13-of-24 from behind the arch. Another
win for the Thunderwolves came on the rebounding front that saw
them win that battle 46-35.
However, the Yellow Jackets do get an opportunity to get back
out on the hardwood to face a struggling UC-Colorado Springs team
on Saturday night at 7:30 pm MT. The UCCS Mountain Lions
(5-18, 5-14 RMAC), do provide a great chance at stealing the final
road contest of the season for the Jackets.
BHSU did beat UCCS in their first match-up by a score of 75-69
back in Spearfish in late-January. In that game, the Yellow
Jackets provided balance as all-five starters scored in
double-figures as they outrebounded UCCS, 36-30, as they look to
duplicate that performance later this evening.
