Box Score Spearfish, S.D. – The Yellow Jacket men's basketball team struggled on the road against Adams State on Friday night, losing 92-78.
The Grizzlies were ready to roll on Friday night and got off to a fast start vs. the Yellow Jackets. They led by as many as 15 in the first half and increased that lead to 22 in the second half before the Yellow Jackets started a comeback. But there just wasn't enough time for the Jackets to overcome the deficit. The Grizzlies shot over 52% from the field and 44% from 3-point range whereas the Yellow Jackets were only able to muster 45% from the field and 35% from behind the arc.
Yoshio Allen played well off the bench for the Yellow Jackets having a double-double for the night with 17 total points and 13 rebounds. Brady Bisgaard and Tommy Earl each pitched in for 13 points and 4 rebounds.
The Yellow Jackets drop to 5-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play, while the Grizzlies improve to 5-4 overall and 2-4 in the RMAC. The Jackets will look for their first win of the new year tonight as they take on the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis (7-3, 4-2) at Whalen Gymnasium in Durango, CO. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
