Box Score DENVER, Colo. – The Black Hill State University Yellow Jackets men's basketball teamed suffered their 10th loss of the year Friday night at the hands of the Regis University Rangers, 75-66.
The Yellow Jackets (8-10, 6-8 RMAC) took a 1-point lead at halftime, 32-31, before the Rangers used a second half in which they shot 60.7-percent from the field and five 3-point shots. In the game, Regis went 29-of-61 from the field (47.5%).
Five Regis players scored in double figures as they were led by Mike MacKelvie with 19 on 8-of-14 shooting and nine rebounds. Spenser Reeb came off the bench to score 13 points, while Jon Conley had 12 before Jarrett Green and Kevin Marshall combined for 22 points.
The Yellow Jackets shot 41.8-percent from the field as a team (23-55 FG) and had 37 rebounds to Regis' 33. Sophomore guard, Riley Ryan, again led the way for BHSU with 16 points on 5-of-13 shooting.
Sophomore guard, Miles Henry, scored 14 points for the Yellow Jackets to go with seven rebounds as senior, Tommy Earl, added 13 on the night. Cameron Anderson had a game-high 10 rebounds and added six points.
Next up for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday night is No. 3 Metro State, beginning at 5 p.m. from Denver.
