DENVER, Colo. – After finding themselves down by 13 points at halftime at Metro State, the Yellow Jacket women's basketball team used a second half where they outscored the Roadrunners 35-27, before losing the game in the closing seconds, 63-58. 
BHSU forward, Logan Cowan, led the comeback after scoring 13 points in the second half before finishing with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and seven rebounds. MSU's leading scorer was Cassie Lambrecht with 16 points and five rebounds as Kya DeGarmo and Fawn Brady combined for 22 points. 
The Yellow Jackets outshot the Roadrunners on the night after going 20-of-43 from the field (46.5%).  MSU shot 42-percent after shooting 21-of-50 as a team. BHSU grabbed 30 rebounds, 14 assists, and six steals. 
Junior, Courtney Patterson, finished second on BHSU with 10 points.  Junior, Dakota Barrie, finished with nine points (3-4 FG) and five rebounds. MSU used their 3-point shooting to gain an advantage after dropping 10 three-point shots, as the Jackets finished with five 3-pointers on the night. 
The Jackets moved to 10-9 overall and 9-6 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.  The next game for the Yellow Jackets will come at home versus No. 2 Colorado Mesa on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 5:30 p.m.
