Box Score DENVER, Colo. – The Yellow Jackets men's basketball team (8-10, 6-9 RMAC) took to the road on Saturday night to take on the nation's 3rd-ranked team, Metro State, losing by in the closing minutes of the game.
Senior guard, Tommy Earl, finished with a game-high 17 points and six rebounds to lead the Jackets attack that saw them win the second half, 35-31, after trailing by nine points at halftime.
The Roadrunners used scoring from three different players who scored in double figures, led by Brandon Jefferson and Nicholas Kay, who both went for 17 points. Harrison Goodrick came off the bench to score 10 points.
BHSU's Myles Henry played 36 minutes and scored 11 points to go with five rebounds. Senior, Cameron Anderson, had a game-high 12 rebounds and nine points as sophomore guard, Riley Ryan, scored nine points as well and grabbed seven boards.
MSU outshot the Yellow Jackets after shooting almost 41-percent (22-54 FG), while the Jackets went 21-of-62 (33.9%) from the field (10-14 FT). BHSU did outrebound MSU 41 to 38.
The next game for BHSU will come at home on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. from the Young Center versus Colorado Mesa.
