Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – The Black Hills State men's basketball team lost their 13th game of the season at the hands of No. 13 Colorado School of Mines on Friday night, 73-52.
Four players who scored in double figures to lead CSM with Brett Green and Caleb Waitsman scoring 11 points apiece, while Brian Muller and Trevor Wages combined for 20 points and nine rebounds.
Yoshio Allen led the way for the Yellow Jackets after finishing an impressive 6-of-7 from the field for 14 points and five rebounds. Senior, Tommy Earl, scored 13 points (4-4 FT) and had three rebounds and two assists.
Myles Henry, Brady Bisgaard and Cameron Anderson combined for 17 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
It was CSM's consistency from the offensive end that allowed them to extend a 40-29 halftime lead by ten more points by the final buzzer. As a team, the Orediggers shot almost 50-percent from the field (28-58 FG), while going 14-of-17 from the free throw line.
BHSU meanwhile went 18-of-45 from the field and 3-of-15 from beyond the arch. The Jackets also shot 68.4-percent from the free throw line on 13-of-19 shooting. Defensively, CSM forced the Jackets to 19 turnovers as they came up with 14 steals which led to 21 points.
CSM also edged the Jackets in the rebounding department by grabbing 32 boards to the Jackets' 28.
Tomorrow night the Jackets will visit Colorado Christian (12-10, 10-8 RMAC) for a 7 p.m. tip-off from Lakewood, Colo.
