Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Yellow Jackets men's basketball team lost their 14th game of the season on Saturday night at Colorado Christian University, as they attempted to fight their way back from a 56-35 halftime deficit to ultimately lose by a score of 93-80.
Two CCU players scored at least 20 points in starter Kyle Weaver who went for 23 points along with Avery Redmond, who came off the bench to add 21.
The Yellow Jackets saw great offensive production from sophomore guard, Myles Henry, who finished with a team high 20 points and four rebounds. Senior, Tommy Earl, had 15 points and Riley Ryan finished with 10.
For the second night in a row, junior Yoshio Allen, stepped up big for the Jackets on way to a double-double performance with 13 points (5-9 FG) and 10 rebounds. Senior, Cameron Anderson, finished with nine points and snagged 11 total rebounds on the night.
CCU saw a significant advantage from 3-point land as they finished going 13-of-25 form beyond the arch (52-pct) before shooting 48.2-percent as a team on 27-of-56 shooting. BHSU shot 44.4-percent from the field (28-63 FG) that included going 8-of-23 on three-point shots (34.8-pct).
The Jackets outrebounded CCU 42 to 30, but forced their opponent to only five turnovers on the game.
The next games for BHSU will come in the last home games of the season on the weekend of Feb. 21-22, as the Jackets host CSU-Pueblo on Friday night and UC-Colorado Springs on Saturday night for Senior Night at 7:30 p.m. from the Young Center.
