  • Donnell Minton leads the team with 24.7 points per game. In the Saints' last game, Minton scored a season-best 34 points against Minnesota Morris, scoring on 13 of 24 shot attempts. He leads the team with 21 made 3-point baskets on the season. Minton's point out put ranks him eighth in all of NAIA in 2016-17.
  • Although PC owns a 2-4 record, the Saints have actually suited up for nine games having played three exhibition games. The Saints fell to NCAA Division II University of Sioux Falls 87-56, and a pair of NCAA Division I foes, USD 99-60 and UND, 101-63.

THE GAME - Johnson & Wales

  • The two schools meet for the third time since 2012, and for the second-straight season after the Yellow Jackets won 83-61 last season in the Young Center. Wyatt Krogman paced five Yellow Jackets in double-digit scoring with 16 points.

THE COACHES

  • Jeff Trumbauer enters his third season with the Yellow Jackets and owns a 23-36 record at BHSU. Overall, he owns a 117-123 record in his ninth season as a head coach. Trumbauer coached the first First Team All-RMAC performer from BHSU in Nick Ongarato last season.
  • Jeremy Reigle enters his seventh season with Presentation College, helping the Saints to their most wins in 2014-15 in 15 years with 17 victories.
  • Quintin Grogan is in his fourth season with JWU after spending time at Northern Arizona. He has RMAC experience having served as an assistant at MSU Denver in 2008-09.

Double-Double is the Name of the Game

Black Hills State already has three individual double-doubles on the young season, with two coming from Fraser Malcolm and the other from Sam McCloud. The three double-doubles already triple the total from 2015-16, when Max Mueller notched the only double, double-digit performance.

Fast Start

Redshirt freshman Sam McCloud earned his first career start against Yellowstone Christian College and collected a season-best 16 points and 16 rebounds. The 16 rebounds are a season-high and the most for an individual player in the NCAA-era. In fact, you'd have to go back to February 18, 2011, to find a bigger output of rebounds, when Will Johnson snagged 22 missed shots against Minot State.

That's a Daily Double

After not securing a single double-double during his freshman campaign, Fraser Malcolm has now put together two performances of double-digit rebounds and points in three games. The sophomore leads the team with 9.0 rebounds per game while ranking second with 10.0 points per game. Malcolm achieved his first double-double of the year with 13 points and 13 rebounds at Texas A&M - Kingsville, and snagged his second with a 10-point, 12 rebound performance against Northern State.

1,000-point watch

Although he won't join the Yellow Jacket 1,000-point club until he reaches the milestone in a Yellow Jacket uniform, Zach McLemore has a chance to reach 1,000 post high school points as he tallied 787 points at Colorado Christian, including 441 points as a sophomore. Through three games with BHSU, McLemore has tallied a career total of 849 points.
