Spearfish, SD – The Black Hills State Triathlon team is ready to compete at the National Championships. NCAA Divisions one and two schools will compete together at 1:30pm (MT) on Saturday in Tempe Arizona. The Yellow Jackets qualified for nationals in September when they hosted the West Regional Qualifier at the Rocky Point Recreation Area in Belle Fourche, SD.
Now in its fifth year, the program has a set a high standard of competing at the national championships and look to continue that tradition.
Mathilde Bernard finished third individually a year ago at the National Championships and looks to improve upon that. The team also took third a year ago.
"We have had a good season of training and racing and are looking forward to putting it all together in Tempe," said head coach
Connie Feist. "The field is full of very talented athletes at the DI and DII levels and we expect a very competitive race on Saturday."
