Spearfish, SD – The Black Hills State men's basketball team kicks off a five game, three weekend long homestand this weekend. They start by hosting Adams State on Friday at 7:30pm and Fort Lewis on Saturday at 6:00pm. The Yellow Jackets are coming off two RMAC losses and currently sit at 3-5 on the season and 1-2 in the RMAC.
The Yellow Jackets will look to their strong shooting percent from the field. They currently sit in third in the RMAC making 50 percent of their shots.
Joel Scott leads the Green and Gold in this category, as he is the fourth best shooter from the field in the RMAC with his 57% connection rate. He's also 13
th in the RMAC for ppg averaging 16.5.
Tyler Oliver continues to be one of the best team players in the RMAC as he is second in rebounding, averaging 8.9 boards a game, and fourth in assists with his 5.3 a game.

Ryan Thompson. "We put in a solid week of practice and I am excited to see how that translates out on the court."
Adams State enters the weekend 3-5 on the season and 1-1 in the RMAC. They just snapped a three game losing streak by beating New Mexico Highlands 92-86. Kaelin Crane will need to be contained as he is averaging 17.8 points a game. Since 2013, Adams State leads the series 5-2. The Yellow Jackets have won the last two matchups most recently defeating the Grizzlies 85-69 in Alamosa.
Fort Lewis is 7-1 on the season and 1-1 in the conference. They enter the weekend ranked 10
th in the South Central Region. Riley Farris is one of the best shooters in the league, averaging 23.8 points a game. This season, he's good for 50 percent of his shots from beyond the arc. Fort Lewis also leads the series 5-2 over the Yellow Jackets since 2013. The Green and Gold have taken the victory the last two match ups most recently winning 70-66 in Durango.
The Green and Gold will wrap up December play next Friday, the 20
th, in non-conference action against Dickinson State University.
