SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University triathlon team is set to travel to East River to compete in the South Dakota Invitational on September 22. The race is hosted by the University of South Dakota and will take place in Yankton, S.D.

The race will start at 8 a.m. mountain time, with the swim to take place in Lake Yankton, with the bike and run to occur at Lake Yankton Beach.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off hosting the West Regional Qualifier. The team finished second in Division II to qualify for the National Championships to be held in November. Mathilde Bernard led the Green and Gold, placing third in the division.

Following this weekend's race, the Yellow Jackets will compete at the East Regional Qualifier, held in Smith Mountain Lake, Va.
