Denver, CO - Â The Black Hills State University men's basketball team cannot be stopped as they picked up their 13
th win in a row. They downed the MSU- Denver Roadrunners 83-69 to move to 13-2 in the RMAC and 16-5 on the season. Dixie State lost to Adams state on Saturday which means the Yellow Jackets have moved into first place in the conference.
The Green and Gold had control of the entire game and at one point led by close to 20 points. They finished the first half with a comfortable 40-32 lead and followed up the second half out shooting the Roadrunners 43-37. The team was again shooting hot, connecting 57 percent from the field shooting 32-56 including a fifty percent make rate from downtown. They also hit 9 of 10 of their shots from the charity stripe.
Four Yellow Jackets were in double digits points and were led by a double-double from
Joel Scott who posted 25 points and 11 rebounds. He shot 9 for 17 on the night.
Trey Whitley followed up his 37 points from Friday night with 22 points tonight hitting 3 for 3 from beyond the arc.
Antonio Capley posted 15 points good for 7 of 9.
Tyler Oliver had 14 points and pulled down eight boards.
The Green and Gold return home next weekend to host CSU-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands.
