Spearfish, SD – Coming off a tough season opener in Aberdeen, the Black Hills State University softball team is looking to bounce back at the Minot State Dome Invite. They continue to face NSIC schools as they will play Minot State, Bemidji State, and the University of Minnesota Crookston.
The weekend begins on Saturday at 5:00pm as the Yellow Jackets take on Minot State. Then, in Sunday double header action, the Green and Gold play Bemidji at 11:00am and Crookston at 1:00pm. All times are Central.
The Yellow Jackets are 0-4 on the season and have not yet opened RMAC play. They dropped four games to the Northern State Wolves last weekend. In the early season,
Crystal Amaral is fifth in the RMAC with eight batters struck out.
Minot State opened play last weekend at the Desert Stinger Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada. In some big scoring games, the split the weekend to go 3-2. In their biggest margin of victory they defeated Oklahoma Baptist University 11-3.
Bemidji State and Crookston have not yet opened their 2020 season.
