Black Hills State soccer dropped its match to Colorado Mines, 4-0 Friday evening at Ronnie Theisz Field.
The Yellow Jackets (4-2, 1-2 RMAC) totaled six shots on the day, two on goal, while
Makayla Dannelly grabbed eight saves between the pipes.
Darby Whiteley put up two shots on goal, while
Taylor Hernandez also had a pair of shots.
Emma Avery and
Haley Steskal also each recorded a shot.
The Orediggers came out pressuring early, firing off two shots before scoring at 8:41 to take a 1-0 lead. They would continue their offensive attack, scoring twice more in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
Out of the locker room, Whitely got off two shots on goal in the opening 5 minutes, but wouldn't find the net. Colorado Mines scored again at 62:29 to extend to a 4-0 lead.
Black Hills State got a good look in the closing minutes, with Hernandez and Steskal each firing off shots before time expired.
