ST. GEORGE, Utah – Black Hills State triathlon ran in its final National Qualifier of the season on Saturday, Oct. 30, finishing seven racers.
The race saw 65 racers in total from schools from all DI, DII and DIII levels.
"Our athletes raced well on a challenging course with all seven completing the race without being lapped out by an aggressive front pack," said Head Coach
Connie Feist. We are going into the National Championships in two weeks with confidence and are looking forward to representing BHSU at the highest level."
Myna Buckley led the Yellow Jackets in 28th place, and ninth among DII runners, with a time of 1:12:58.
Hannah Hirschi was next in 34th place (12th of DII) with a time of 1:16:00.
Natalie Moose finished in 36th/13th among DII (1:16:35),
Sydney Gasper in 37th/14th (1:18:18),
Cassidy Teeslink in 40th/16th (1:20:20),
Madelynn Potter in 47th/18th (1:23:41), and
Kennedy Teeslink in 51st/19th (1:29:58),
More than 10 athletes were lapped out and did not finish the race.
