Black Hills State soccer fell to Metro State 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Ronnie Theisz Field.

The Yellow Jackets move to 0-9 on the season and 0-3 in RMAC play.

As a team, BHSU put up 12 shots and seven shots on goal, while Metro State totaled 19 shots on goal on 46 shots.

Gabbi Nowodworski led the way with her second goal of the season, on five shots and two shots on goal.

Amber Carlson finished with two shots on goal while Ella Goodman recorded two shots and one shot on goal.

Goalkeeper Dz-Rae Jara was busy all game between the pipes, recording a career-high 16 saves.

The Yellow Jackets struck first, scoring at the 5-minute mark to take a 1-0 lead as Nowodworski found the net off a Goodman assist.

Metro State would answer two minutes later, scoring a goal of their own at the 7-minute mark to make it 1-1, a score that would hold through halftime.

Coming out of the locker room, the Roadrunners scored a quick pair of goals, making it 2-1 at the 51-minute mark, and then 3-1 at 56:21.

From there the two teams traded shots, but the Yellow Jackets wouldn't get any points back as they fell 3-1.
