Black Hills State athletics held its fourth annual Gold Rush Raffle and Auction on Saturday, May 1, raising $61,451 for student-athlete scholarships—a record total for the event.
"It was a successful event that couldn't have been done without the help of our student-athletes, donors and staff," Assistant Athletic Director
Thayer Trenhaile said. "This was our first big event since the beginning of the pandemic, so it was great to have the Yellow Jacket family back together again. I just want to thank everyone who made it possible."
The event began with happy hour and games before the silent and live auctions that included over 130 items combined between the two, as well as a reverse raffle of 400 tickets, and dinner.
