Black Hills State Has Two Photographers Selected as CSC Photographer of the Year Finalists

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Announced on Tuesday as part of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative & Digital Design Contest, the Black Hills State University Athletic Department had two individuals selected as part of ten finalists for Photographer of the Year in the College Division (NCAA Division II, III, NAIA, NJCAA, and U Sports). The two selected from BHSU included student photographers Jadyn  Anderson and Josh Hall.

"On behalf of myself, contest leadership and our esteemed group of reviewers, I would like to congratulate each and every one of our finalists for the portfolio contests of the 2025-26 CSC Creative & Digital Design Contest," said contest chair Patrick Murphy of the Colorado School of Mines. "As the interest level and talent level in this contest both continue to rise, the job of determining the best of the best in the digital and creative space gets tougher every year. Our finalists have set themselves apart from their peers by demonstrating excellence in their craft and providing the highest quality of coverage for their student-athletes."

The Yellow Jacket pair was among 195 entries in the portfolio contests ranging from Photographer of the Year, Designer of the Year, and Videographer of the Year, and among 145 entries from the College Division. Furthermore, they were amongst 67 photographer entries in the College Division photographer contest. BHSU was the only school in the College Division to have multiple photographers selected in the contest.

"I am extremely proud of the work that both Josh and Jadyn have produced during not only the 2025-26 academic year, but the two years that each of them has been a part of our athletic communications team," stated director of athletic communications Alec Schoof. "The pair of them have been a key piece in helping our department elevate the level of quality content we've been able to produce as our teams continue to compete for championships at the conference, regional, and national levels."

Finalists will have the opportunity to be recognized on stage at CSC Unite 2026 on Wednesday, June 10, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
