COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Black Hills State women's cross country was picked to finish 8th while the men's cross country team was also picked to finish 8th in the RMAC in the 2021 Preseason Poll, released by the league Thursday morning.

Last season, the Yellow Jackets competed in two races in a season greatly affected by the pandemic.

Heading into the 2021 season the men's team returns 10 student athletes with four newcomers being welcomed to the squad while the women's team returns six with four newcomers being welcomed to the team.

For the men Colorado School of Mines was picked to finish first with 196 points and 14 first-place votes. Adams State was picked to finished second with 178 points and one first-place vote while Western Colorado was picked third with 163 points.
 
For the women Colorado School of Mines was picked to finish first with 188 points and eight first-place votes. Adams State was picked to finish second with 185 points and six first-place votes while Western Colorado was picked to finish third with 170 points and one first-place vote.
