Black Hills State soccer enters its second week of games as the team heads to Billings, Mont. to play in the Seventh Annual Rimrock Classic in Memory of Trevor Wildberger.
At the tournament, the Yellow Jackets will face University of Mary on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m., and then take on Montana State-Moorhead on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 12 p.m.
"Expect to see more Yellow Jacket players involved in the matches this weekend," said Head Women's Soccer Coach,
Andrew Conniff. "We are still building our fitness levels and with this being our first weekend with two games it will be important that we rotate players and give opportunity to those who've not seen as much of the field."
Darby Whiteley and
Avery Collison will be players to watch for the Yellow Jackets this weekend.
"Whiteley has stepped up as someone who can create scoring chances and link us from the midfield to attacking third," Conniff said. "I'm also excited to see how Collison continues to develop as an outside back since she has largely played center back in her youth and early collegiate career."
