COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State men's basketball had four named to RMAC All-Academic lists Monday afternoon, including Adams Moussa who was named All-Academic First Team.
Additionally,
Tommy Donovan,
PJ Hayes and
Ryder Kirsch were all named to the RMAC Honor Roll.
RMAC All-Academic First Team
Adam Moussa – 3.95 GPA, Business Administration
Moussa is currently BHSU's second leading scorer averaging 14.5 points per game. He leads the RMAC in total assists (72) and assists per game (4.5) and third in minutes per game (34:07). He's also the team's leading free throw shooter at 83.6 percent (46-55) and steals (26) and second in rebounding with 80, 5.0 per game.
RMAC Honor Roll
Tommy Donovan – 4.00 GPA, Political Science/Strategic Leadership
Donovan won last year's Summit Award, and this year has played in all 16 of BHSU's games this season, averaging 5.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He's shooting at a 63.8 percent clip from the field (37-58) and 60.0 percent from deep (12-20). This is Donovan's second Honor Roll appearance.
PJ Hayes – 3.66 GPA, Business Administration
Hayes has been a 3-point machine this season. He scored a career-high 26 points on Jan. 20 against South Dakota Mines, making eight threes in the game, going 8-of-10. He currently ranks 13th in the RMAC averaging two 3-pointers per game over his 13 games played this season. Hayes is currently averaging 8.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
Ryder Kirsch – 3.94 GPA, Business Administration
Kirsch has played in all 16 games for the Yellow Jackets this season, averaging 3.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He's shooting at a 51 percent mark from the field and 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.
