Black Hills State football had a record-breaking day Saturday afternoon, defeating Fort Lewis 75-0, and breaking the program record for points in a game in the process.
The Yellow Jackets (6-3, 4-3 RMAC) also secured their first winning season since 2016 when the team went 7-4. Their 633 yards of total offense is the most in a game since the program entered the NCAA.

Jamin Wurtz led the receivers with 117 yards in the air and a touchdown.

Nicc Quinones had his first career pick six, cutting off a FLC route on the BHSU 15 yard line and taking it to the house for an 85-yard score.
Kicker,
Coleman Chapman, was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goals, nailing one from 45 yards out and the other from 47. He was 9-of-10 on extra points.
After forcing a quick 3-and-out on defense, the Yellow Jackets opened the scoring on their first drive with a nine-yard touchdown rush from Susel to take an early 7-0 lead.
BHSU held FLC to another 3-and-out with a pair of sacks on the ensuing drive to force a punt and get the ball back in the hands of the offense. A three-play, 40-yard drive ended with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Williams to extend the lead to 14-0 with 6:03 left in the first.
The Yellow Jackets would add a 45-yard field goal from Chapman before the end of the first quarter to take a 17-0 lead into the second.
FLC was forced to punt once again early in the second, which was blocked by Maliik Edwards and recovered by
Jake Pape at the Skyhawk's 26-yard line. That turned into a BHSU touchdown two plays later with a 16-yard pass to Noordsy in the endzone, making it a 23-0 game.
The BHSU defense continued to hold Fort Lewis scoreless as time ticked on in the second quarter. With 3:18 remaining in the first half, Eben found Williams in the back left corner of the endzone for his second score of the game, capping a 12-play, 99-yard drive to extend the lead to 30-0.
The Yellow Jackets would cap off the first half with Susel's second rushing touchdown of the game, this one a 3-yard run to the right side, sending the team to the locker room with a 37-0 advantage.
BHSU continued to add on out of the break as Wurtz rattled off an 83-yard touchdown reception to make it a 44-0 game at 14:03 in the third. Later in the quarter, Bennett found the endzone for the first time in his career with a seven-yard touchdown to make it 51-0.

FLC was making a drive early in the fourth quarter, advancing to the BHSU 21-yard line, but
Nicc Quinones ended their push with an interception at the 15 yard line and took it back all 85 yards for the touchdown and extended the lead to 65-0.
Pressley would score the 10th and final touchdown on the day for the Yellow Jackets with a 6-yard rush, breaking the school record for points in a game by pushing the score to 72-0. A 47-yard Chapman field goal in the final minutes brought the game to 75-0, which would ultimately be the final result.
