GUNNISON, Colo. - Black Hills State track and field started out the weekend of competition at the RMAC Championships strong with two First Team All-Conference student-athletes and three Second Team All-Conference student-athletes.
As the dust settles on day one of the RMAC Championships the Black Hills State women hold 24 total points and fourth-place as a team.
Conor McGraw got things started competing in heptathlon events. At the end of day one of competition McGraw sits in sixth with three events left tomorrow.
Whitney Scott and
Hannah Hendrick were next up for the Yellow Jackets in the women's pole vault. Scott brought home a third-place finish with a vault of 3.71m earning First Team All-Conference while Hendrick earned a fifth-place finish with a vault of 3.71m and earned Second Team All-Conference.
Breanne Fuller took the track next in the women's 60m dash. Fuller ran a 7.74 60m dash and earned her place in the finals tomorrow. Fuller finished 9th in the women's 200m dash with a time of 25.50 just outside of a qualification for finals.
Kyla Sawvell was named First Team All-Conference in the women's weight throw with a mark of 18.87m. Sawvell's throw earned her the first first-place finish for the Yellow Jackets at the conference meet.
Savannah Perez's mark of 17.36m earned her a fifth-place finish and a spot on the Second Team All-Conference squad for the first time in her career.
Matt Parker just missed an All -Conference team as he came in 7th in the men's 5000m run with a time of 15:40.32.

Tim Brown brought home a sixth-place finish for the Yellow Jackets with a time of 10:50.48.
Sully Mack brought home Second Team All-Conference with a sixth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 17.05m.
Gevin Paas placed 12th with a mark of 15.30m.
Reece Ullery wrapped things up for the Yellow Jackets with a 15th finish in the men's long jump with a jump of
