Black Hills State softball continues its 2022 season this weekend, taking on Adams State Saturday and Sunday in Alamosa, Colo.
The Yellow Jackets (5-3, 5-3 RMAC) will play two on Saturday, March 12 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., and a pair on Sunday, March 13, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The two teams last played on March 11 and 12, 2021 in which BHSU was swept. All-time, the Yellow Jackets are 7-21 against ASU, having last won in the 2020 season before the season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.
BHSU has played well so far this season, splitting its series at New Mexico Highlands, and taking one from UCCS in a close series last weekend.
As a team, the Yellow Jacket offense has been potent with a .344/.407/.566 slash line, while totaling 84 hits (averaging over 10 per game) and 30 extra base hits over their eight games so far this season.
