PUEBLO, Colo. – Day two of the Outdoor Track and Field Championships marked many season accolades for the Black Hills State track and field athletes.
Conor McGraw would place first overall in the decathlon events, scoring 6,272 points to be crowned the RMAC decathlon champion and
Keith Osowski would compete in the men's 3000m steeplechase and finish in first place at the time of 9:14.18.
The Yellow Jackets had seven athletes named to All-Conference squads. Osowski and McGraw each made First Team All-Conference with their first place finishes.
Kyla Sawvell also made First Team All-Conference in discus after placing second in the women's discus throw, marking off at 45.96m (150', 9") that would provisionally qualify her for the NCAA Division II Track and Field Championships.
Gevin Paas also placed second in the discus with a mark of 50.37m (165', 3").
Ruby Lindquist would finish third in the women's 3000m steeplechase earning First Team All-Conference with a final time of 11:26.44.
Jadyn Gackle would be named to second team All-Conference in discus after her fifth-place throw of 40.33m (132', 3').
Kendra McDonald would make second team All-Conference in heptathlon after placing in sixth with 3,846 points.
The Yellow Jackets had two runners qualify to compete on championship Sunday.
Breanne Fuller would qualify to compete Sunday after finishing fifth in the women's 200m dash at 24.44 seconds.
Erica Dykstra would qualify during her seventh-place finish in the women's 800m run, finishing at a time of 2:13.83.
In the men's discus throw,
Anthony Rosenstrauch would place in 13th with a throw of 39.98m (131', 2").
Tim Brown would finish at 13th with a time of 9:53.21.
Mason Sartain would place 13th in the men's 200m dash with a final time of 22.6, and
Nicholas Hale in 21st at 22.87.
Coleman Chapman would place 10th in the men's 110m hurdle with a final time of 15.82.
Sophie Curtis would run in the women's 100m hurdle and place 16th, clocking in at 15.79.
Ryan Foy would place 11th in the men's pole vaulting at 4.25m (13', 11").
